Frontline Plus for Cats - EXPIRY - JUNE/2021
FRONTLINE® Plus combines fipronil, the active ingredient in all other FRONTLINE® products, with (S)-methoprene, an insect growth regulator. Integrated Flea Control, or IFC, is what sets FRONTLINE® Plus apart. IFC refers to a combination of active ingredients working together. Within 24 hours, FRONTLINE® Plus migrates all over the pet's body through a process called translocation. The sebaceous (oil) glands just beneath he skin act as a reservoir from which FRONTLINE® Plus is slowly and continuously released onto the skin surface, where fleas and ticks come into contact with it. Fipronil works by attacking the nerve cells of fleas, resulting in their becoming disorientated and hyperactive before dying. (S)-methoprene interferes with egg production and hatching of fleas, as well as inhibiting larval development. Consequently, no more pupae are produced, and the flea life cycle is broken. FRONTLINE® Plus protects your pet against most disease-causing ticks as well. When you use FRONTLINE® Plus, the active ingredients are rapidly distributed through your cat's coat. In addition, FRONTLINE® Plus is completely waterproof.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
In order to obtain the best results it is recommended that the animal neither be bathed nor shampooed for 3 days before nor for 3 days after the application as this will decrease the duration of activity. Break the snap-off top from the pipette along the dotted line. Part the hair between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze several times to empty the contents directly on to the skin, preferably at two spots. Care should be taken to avoid excessive wetting of the hair since this will impart a sticky appearance to the hair at the treatment spot. However, should this occur, it will disappear within 24 hours post application.
BY APPLICATION ONTO THE SKIN
One (1) pipette of 0,5 ml per cat (up to 8 kg). Monthly applications are recommended where there is a high risk of re-infestation, if the pet is allergic to fleas, or in situations where tick control is needed. For this control to be effective all dogs and cats in the household should be treated simultaneously.
