NOTE: Always dry parts especially the metal / Stainless steel parts immediately after using to avoid staining/rusty. You are advice to perform regular maintenance to prolong the lifespan as well as appearance of the kettle. How to get rid of stains from stainless steel kettle?
Filling the kettle until 2⁄3 full with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water. Boil and allow to stand over night.
Emptying the solution from the kettle. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring to the boil and
discard the water. Repeat and the kettle will be ready for use.
How to remove bad odor from stainless steel kettle?
Certain kettles may have the "new smell”. The smell often originates from the plastic or manufacturers residue, which can be oil, glue, silicone or other materials used to manufacture the product. You could try to add a couple of teaspoons of lemon juice (or any citric acid) and salt in the kettle together with some water. The salt and citric acid will agitate the scale build up. When the mixture comes to boil swish it around the kettle before you discard the mixture. After a quick rinse your kettle should hopefully be clean and only have a fresh lemon smell.
