Additional Lao Ban Niang tips to further improve the taste and texture of the abalone:
1. Remove the paper around the can.
2. Prepare a pot of water. (water level must be higher than the height of the can)
3. Fully submerge the can in to the pot of water.
4. Bring the pot to boil.
5. Once the water starts to boil, turn to a smaller flame and let the pot boils for 3 - 5 hours. Ensure that the can is always fully submerged in water.
6. Turn off the fire and remove the can when the water is cooled.
